Flooding

Hampton Roads experiences a myriad of flooding challenges.  Some areas flood during a typical rain storm while other areas experience sudden flash floods. It's very important to remember this life saving advice - "Turn around, don't drown!" Do not take the risk!  Even if you or your loved one thinks your car may be able to make it through flood waters (even larger puddles) simply driving through a shallow body of water can ruin a vehicle's engine, or worse, put you and your family in physical danger.

Please visit Ready.gov's Floods page for more information.
